While I am aware of the term "technical analysis", this isn't really that. It's how, as a mathematics major, I approached the topic of speculating on when to buy into a stock or, if it's a dip, how much more to buy. The predominant displays of "technical analysis" seem to be fancy termed ways of, essentially, viewing how long it takes for a cycle of buying and selling to break "equilibrium" and continue going up or down. That has absolutely no bearing on the actual stock, itself, and is purely market psychology. What I like to look for is just the historical trends and the essential market psychology that it's usually just trying to make all things go up so that they can sell, invest more, or short and make money off of that before investing again. ... Ways to be a retail investor with $100 to $1,000 or even $10,000

 So while there will be a process, there's an easy way to get set up and trade stocks, securities, and all of that. Crypto, too, on many places that do stocks in their phone applications. I use both Robinhood and Webull because I am allowed "fractional shares" meaning that instead of buying one $1000 share in Costco, I can purchase $5 and own like 0.002 shares of Costco. However, this "dust" gets swept up if the company does a reverse stock split (probably also a normal stock split) since you wouldn't have an actual single stock so, well, you usually just get the trading value for the stock when the corporate action is taken on the number of stocks. The stocks that I keep a watch for, and the start of this blog

2025-05-19 Well, may as well start recording my thoughts on the stocks that I keep an eye on and make sure I have around $5 in or so. There's a variety of reasons why I picked these stocks: most of the time, if there's no observable reason, then it's just because I felt like picking it. That covers the "why the hell did he pick that worthless stock?" question. I don't know which stocks will be good or not; I am just watching them, thinking about what the market psychology is, and also bringing awareness to at-the-least my thought process to these stocks. We don't know why the analysts do what they do. As such, I hope to capture my thoughts and bring some perspective since I don't think you or they know what you/they are doing, either. ...
